The Broker — The Short Version
TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
His background is relevant. It means the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. But more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker this new, the breadth is solid.
Platforms
You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Many people prefer it after comparing.
FIX API is there for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently coming. That will make the platform set when it lands.
What You Pay
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for beginners.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not relevant to typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
This is where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers operate at a much wider range.
Should you care? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.
Combine that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Here is the part that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. That does not guarantee anything. It does inform how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off makes sense comes down to your priorities.
Welcome Offer
TabTrade offers a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Usual deposit match. You put money in, the broker top up your balance. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you deposit.
